For Researchers:
Simple searches

What is a simple Search?

If you are a Researcher interested in determining whether there are sufficient Registry participants eligible for a study you are developing, or have already developed, the Simple Search interface can help you.

The Simple Search interface will allow you to:

  • Query the Registry Database
  • Investigate specific questions you might have about Registry Participants
  • View the total number of Registry Participants who fit your requested variables

How to Access Simple Searches

  1. Make sure you have created a Researcher Account with the Registry. To protect the privacy of Registry Members, only qualified Researchers with an account approved by the WSA Executive Director may access Simple Searches. To Register, please go to For Researchers. You do not need to create a new account if you have already Registered.
  2. Log on to "Your Home" page and follow the link to "Simple Searches". Once your Researcher Registration has been approved you will be able to log on to "Your Home" page. Clicking the "Simple Searches" link will take you to a search interface. Additional instructions will be provided on the Simple Search page as well as on the Instructions and Forms page located on "Your Home" page.

If you Decide to Submit a Study Proposal

If you decide to perform a research project and recruit patients through the Registry, your IRB and the Registry's Research Advisory Board must approve your study before we can contact participants on your behalf. You do not however, need IRB approval prior to submitting a Study Proposal to the Registry. Please see the Study Proposals page of the website for more information.
